It all started 9 years ago in our kitchen, from a hobby and the love of chocolate. The favorite hobby subsequently became a calling and a profession. The number of hours spent on training, visiting stores and courses increased year by year, and with persistence, ZAX was born.
Not far from our home and the birthplace of ZAX we decided to open the first chocolate workshop and brick-and-mortar store on the banks of river Danube. Our workshop operates with top of the line equipment.
Meet our chocolatier Zsuzsa, who creates and decorates chocolate creations by hand and gained several international awards. Ferenc helps deliver her famous pralines, dragées, spreads and chocolate bars to customers. Teamwork runs in our family.
Our principle is to use the highest quality raw materials. We have traveled to all major cocoa growing countries to source our ingredients. We were intrigued by the cacao growers of South America and Africa, Madagascar vanilla, hazelnuts from Piedmont, and last but not least, we found the best quality almonds in California and the Mediterranean.
Our pralines have won many international competitions. We have been honored many times by the Academy of Chocolate Awards. In 2022, our Passion Fruit praline received the highest of them - a gold medal. Our salted caramel and sour cherry candies were awarded at the International Chocolate Awards.
